Laura and Matt's Stungingly Sunny Wedding at Langdon Court, Devon

Spring sunshine and blue skies greeted Laura and Matthew for their Wedding Day at Langdon Court, near Plymouth.

Thus wonderful Jacobean Mansion is a delight, styled in a contemporary fashion it is a jewel in the crown. The Jacobean gardens lend themselves to beautiful photography and also a relaxing space to be. Laura and Matthew had their ceremony out doors in the woodland over looking the Lakes, a ceremony full of love, laughter and bird song.

With the beach at Wembury being so close, after the Wedding breakfast we popped down to capture those blue skies and relaxed and romantic photos. then back to the house for dancing!

Justine & Ben's Summer Evening Pre Wedding Shoot in Salcombe, Devon

Its no wonder that the moment Justine and Ben logged in to their Web Album to view these photo’s that thye instantly emailed me to say how pleased they were that they have booked me for thier Wedding at Salcombe Harbour Hotel in September.

We met last Saturday evening in Salcombe, a warm and beautiful Summers evening, low sun and a beautful colour to the water too.

Justine admitted within minutes of meeting me that she wasnt overly used to being photographed and that she wasnt sure what to expect from their shoot.

We walked and chatted along Cliff Road all the way to North Sands, and at all times getting to understand each other a little more. The initial photos are beautiful, I chose a seated shot using the low sun to cause sun flares and hair lights to add a touch of summer romance, we progressed to shots nearer the beach and more so in public, ending with a set of individual portraits, each time slowly gaining more and more confidence.

Pre Wedding Shoots add so much to a Wedding, they help you get used to being photographed and how photography can be fun, simple and captured without any stress. This is invaluable as on the day itself you dont want to be concerned about the photography!

Tom & Rob's Stylish Wedding at Buckland tout-Saints Hotel, Devon

What a fab day! Tom & Rob chose to get married in the wonderful setting of Buckland tout-Saints, nestled away in high banked hedges in the green and lush part of the South Hams in Devon.

Its one of my favourite venues as it always feels like you have arrived at your country house rather than a hotel, so with this in mind everyone relaxs after their drive through the lanes.

The wedding day was extremely relaxed and Tom and Rob had planned the flow of the day with myself and Sabeena, the wedding co-ordinator at Buckland. Starting with a drinks reception and having time with the guests prior to walking in to their ceremony together. This felt perfect, and a little different from the normal structure of a typical wedding day.

Both wearing Tuxedo’s and keeping the colour schemes very simple meant that the whole day had a very chic feel to it, and the stiped green lawns and blue skies added to this.

We were asked to provide “Smoke Bombs” for an added element to their photography ad as usual it worked, even when at times the wind changes and it feels like you are about to lose that shot!

After the wedding breakfast, speeches in the Blue Room and the cake cut it was time for a quick change into Linen Suits for the evening and a short trip up the hill to the fields for some relaxed and loving photos in the evening sun. It’s always so nice to just escape for a couple of minutes and capture couples in a very relaxed way in breath taking spaces.

Sarah and Ed's Devon Wedding. St.Michael and All Angels Stokenham and Dartington Hall

Saturday June 1st was a truley splendid day to get married in the beautiful South Hams, Devon. Bright blue skies and glistening seas made everyone feel happy.

Sarah and Ed were married exactly 12 months to the day in a very small ceremony on an Island in Scandinavia. This day 12 months later was about celebrating with all family and friends back in the UK and in the Church that Sarah had known as a child, her family Church, the very beautiful St.Michael and All Angels in the tiny village of Stokenham in Devon.

Sarah entered to a recording of one of her classical pieces (she is a singer) such a an amazing entrance. The blessing took place infront of the finally decorated Rood Screen, such a wonderful setting.

After the ceremony a trip to visit Sarahs Grand Parents who couldnt be with us at Church followed by a little photo session on the beach at Slapton Sands.

The Wedding Breakfast and Party was held at the stunning Dartington Hall near Totnes. This wonderful Medieval Hall with its landscaped gardens and architectural features is one of our favourite venues, with so many photographic opportunities.

Sophie and Ashleys Dreamy Devon Wedding - Salcombe Church & Dartington Hall

What a dreamy day…… Sophie and Ashley married in Salcombe Church, a day full of love and laughter. Sophie is a huge Disney fan and the day felt like a Disney masterpiece, love and romance through the day accompanied by Disney songs played firstly at home getting ready and again at Dartington Hall by their Pianist.

I captured the Story of the day and always love working in both Salcombe and Dartington Hall, two great places to capture peoples lives and the Wedding Day!

After church we whisked off to North Sands for some Beach shots before driving across to Dartington Hall and spending the rest of the afternoon and evening there. There are simply far too many awesome spaces to shoot in at Dartington, and the light on this September day was perfect.

Enjoy looking at this small selection of photos from the day and feel free to share or add comments…..

Simon and Laura's Panamanian English Wedding - Salcombe, Devon

Simon and Laura travelled from their home in Panama to SAlcombe in South Devon to get married! Simon grew up in and around Salcombe on his summer holidays as a child. Since meeting Laura in Panama where Simon works, they have holidayed in Salcombe and naturally it was the perfect place to get married. Salcombe is certainly becoming a destination for many over seas couples.

Laura and her bridal party got ready in one of Salcombes older properties, a wonderful cottage close to the Church. A very relaxed feel to the mornings preparations and great opportunities for photos. After a short walk to Cliff House we met up with Simon and his grooms men, all very relaxed in the sunshine and a true Panama feeling was on the cards. The whole day was planned to feel relaxed and fun, with a little bit of english wedding tradition. The ceremony took place in the Library on the top floor of Cliff House with its wonderful views across the estuary.

The evening kicked off with a Samba band to get us all in the mood followed by a fab conga! This was a stylish, fun and relaxed Party of a Wedding!
