What a fab day! Tom & Rob chose to get married in the wonderful setting of Buckland tout-Saints, nestled away in high banked hedges in the green and lush part of the South Hams in Devon.
Its one of my favourite venues as it always feels like you have arrived at your country house rather than a hotel, so with this in mind everyone relaxs after their drive through the lanes.
The wedding day was extremely relaxed and Tom and Rob had planned the flow of the day with myself and Sabeena, the wedding co-ordinator at Buckland. Starting with a drinks reception and having time with the guests prior to walking in to their ceremony together. This felt perfect, and a little different from the normal structure of a typical wedding day.
Both wearing Tuxedo’s and keeping the colour schemes very simple meant that the whole day had a very chic feel to it, and the stiped green lawns and blue skies added to this.
We were asked to provide “Smoke Bombs” for an added element to their photography ad as usual it worked, even when at times the wind changes and it feels like you are about to lose that shot!
After the wedding breakfast, speeches in the Blue Room and the cake cut it was time for a quick change into Linen Suits for the evening and a short trip up the hill to the fields for some relaxed and loving photos in the evening sun. It’s always so nice to just escape for a couple of minutes and capture couples in a very relaxed way in breath taking spaces.
Have a good look at what was a fabulous day….
